Yankees’ season is over.

Yankees just lost to Detroit Tigers, 8-3, tonight and their season is now officially over.

Before this division series started, people had talked as if Yankees’ win over Tigers were almost a given fact. People had talked about how to beat Minesota Twins’ Johan Santana in the “inevitable” American League Championship Game. You know what? Twins also lost. Now the Championship will be between Oakland A’s and Tigers. Who anticipated that?

Baseball is so unpredictable. Actually, Yankees fans should give Yankees a credit for the fact that, year after year, they are expected to win and they do. As the results, the fans are completely spoiled and, when they screw up, so bitterly complain and point fingers at a certain individual(s), be it A-Rod or Joe Torre or whoever happens to be at the wrong position at the wrong time.

I think they (Yankess) did very well this season, despite all the injuries suffered by important players. It didn’t work out at the end, but that’s the baseball as we know it. I hope people stop whining about how Yankees should’ve, could’ve done things differently. Let’s get over it.
