Due to the fire in Southern California, we are experiencing the shortage and high prices of certain California flowers and foliage. There has been, however, no report of any flower farms destroyed. The shortage is probably due to the mandatory evacuation of farm employees and road closures. We will keep you updated.
Elena Glatt, a Manhattan lawyer, is suing a Manhatten florist for substituting pastel pink and green hydrangeas for the rust and green ones she’d requested. She wants $400,000 for “extreme disappointment, distress and embarrassment” she suffered. Her actual expense was about $27,000.

Report: Many U.S. Parents Outsourcing Child Care Overseas
On my way home today, a Honda smashed into the passenger side of my car. I’m really p*ssed.
It happened at the intersection of Rt25 & Round Swamp Rd. It was raining and dark. Worst of all, the traffic light was completely out. Every car was stopping at the intersection because the light was out.
This Honda probably didn’t see that the light was out. It smashed right into my car when I was making a left turn. I saw it coming; it made no attempt to slow down. If I had not made a quick left turn, we would have had a head-on collision! Jesus!
Most people listen to the radio while driving. I must tell you that I absolutely hate commercials that use car horns honking, tires screeching to a halt, the sound of a car crash and best of all police and ambulance sirens blasting. All of these things are quite disturbing and distracting as you drive. Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is part of the commercial or the real deal. I wonder how many accidents these commercials have caused?
